FOR PETS ADOPTED FROM LOCAL ANIMAL CONTROL FACILITIES: Pets that are not spayed will require a $50 adoption fee and will come with a voucher from the Connecticut Animal Population Control Program. The voucher is good for 60 days. The voucher provides a one-time sterilization benefit of $50.00 for a male cat, $70.00 for a female cat, $100.00 for a male dog, and $120.00 for a female dog plus two pre-surgical vaccinations. Adopters are required to pay for other services as specified by the veterinarian and for any costs the voucher does not cover. Please get this information from the vet you plan to use as the Animal Control facilities do not have that information. Pets too young, as in puppies and kittens, or who may have an illness that might prevent the vet from wanting to do the surgery during the 60 day timeframe, may be granted a medical extension by the veterinarian. Please note, it is up to you to get this extension. Once the voucher expires you cannot obtain another one. All young animals must be sterilized by six (6) months of age All adopters must be CT residents to participate in this program. You may still adopt if you do not live in CT, you just can't participate in the Spay/Neuter Program. Cameron is 4 years old- American bull dog mix - he is fixed and up to date on vaccines he is a very sweet and gentle boy – he loves dogs and cats and baby kittens – he is great with people and kids. He is located in Ansonia CT.
Cameron was rescued last year from a very horrible situation he was electrocuted and poisoned by human hands – Cameron is lucky to be alive when he was found he was limp and cold and bleeding from both ends - unfortunately the rescue group who rescued Cameron was going to euthanize Cameron and that’s when I got the call. We transferred Cameron over to our rescue and we began to care for him and get to know him. This past year has been amazing he is one of the easiest dogs ever he loves everyone and all the animals and is so grateful to be alive and loved. We are looking for a great home for this boy a forever home. He is potty trained –crate trained – great on a leash – he loves to play he loves to eat and loves his treats. He again is great with dogs and cats and kittens and he loves all people and kids – he is fixed and chipped and vaccinated and all his medical issues are far behind him

Meet Sadie! She is a boxer/greyhound mix. She is full of sweetness and energy and would love a home with a fenced yard or active people that enjoy walking. She would be happiest in a one dog only home, kitties are fine. She is good with kids but only kids 10 and up due to her high energy.
